Consumer Action
The things we buy in the shops, the services we use whether in a hospital or a school are central to our lives. This award is for UK campaigners who are fighting to get a fair deal for all.
This award is sponsored by Which? , which campaigns for a fairer deal for consumers, and publishes unbiased information to help consumers make the right choices. With over 50 years experience, Which? campaigns to protect consumer rights, review products and offer independent advice on a wealth of subjects.
In previous years, we have supported campaigners working on a range of issues from Jackie Schneider, a mother campaigning for better school meals to Lisa Northover of Baby Milk Action who campaigns against the unethical marketing of baby milk products in the UK and abroad. 2008 award winner Andrew Wilson campaigned to help make Wales the first ever fair-trade country.
